Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for playing Mythea. It applies to all players regardless of where they are based. By creating an account you agree to follow these rules.

The goal of these rules is simple: to keep Mythea fair and enjoyable for everyone. The game is built around strategy, cooperation, and competition between real people. Behaviour that undermines that — through cheating, harassment, or abuse — harms every other player.

This AUP should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to play Mythea. If you are under 13, you must not create an account. Players aged 13–15 in the EU or UK should have parental consent. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

You may only create one account per person. Multi-accounting is a serious breach of this policy and will result in all associated accounts being banned.

3. Fair Play

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Multi-accounting — Creating or using more than one account, whether to gain an unfair advantage, evade a ban, or for any other reason.
  • Account sharing — Sharing your account credentials with another person, or playing on someone else's account.
  • Automation and bots — Using scripts, bots, macros, or any automated tools to interact with the game in place of genuine human play.
  • Exploiting bugs — Deliberately exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics to gain an advantage. If you discover a bug, report it to us rather than abusing it.
  • Collusion — Coordinating with players across competing kingdoms in ways designed to manipulate rankings, attack results, or age outcomes outside normal diplomacy.
  • Real-money trading — Selling, buying, or trading in-game items, resources, or accounts for real money or external goods.

4. Player Conduct

Mythea has a global community. You must treat other players with basic respect. The following are not permitted in any game chat, kingdom forums, or communications sent via Mythea:

  • Harassment — Targeting, threatening, or persistently messaging another player in a way intended to cause distress.
  • Hate speech — Content that attacks or demeans a person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Impersonation — Pretending to be another player, a member of the Mythea team, or any other person.
  • Spam — Sending unsolicited repetitive messages, flooding chat, or distributing advertisements.
  • Harmful links — Sharing URLs that lead to malicious, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Personal information — Posting another person's real-world personal information (address, phone number, etc.) without their consent.

Aggressive in-game tactics — attacking, raiding, warring — are a core part of Mythea and are not covered by this section. What is prohibited is conduct directed at real people rather than in-game entities.

5. Account Names

Your username and any in-game name must not:

  • Be offensive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit
  • Impersonate another player or public figure
  • Incorporate hate speech or slurs
  • Advertise a product, service, or external website

We reserve the right to require a name change or rename an account without notice.

6. Security

You are responsible for the security of your account. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another player's account
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of Mythea's systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the game servers or network infrastructure
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to us at contact@mythea.com rather than exploiting or disclosing it publicly.

7. Enforcement

We monitor the game and investigate reports of rule violations. The action we take depends on the severity and frequency of the breach:

  • Warning — A formal notice that a rule has been broken. Further violations will result in stronger action.
  • Temporary suspension — Access to your account is suspended for a defined period.
  • Permanent ban — Your account is permanently closed. This is applied for serious violations or repeated breaches after warnings.
  • IP or device block — In cases of ban evasion or serious misuse, we may block access at the network level.

We reserve the right to act immediately and without prior warning for serious violations such as harassment, multi-accounting, or security attacks. We are not obliged to provide detailed reasons for enforcement decisions.

8. Reporting

If you believe another player is breaking these rules, please report it to us at contact@mythea.com. Include as much detail as possible — the player's username, what happened, and any screenshots or timestamps you have.

We investigate all reports but cannot always share the outcome with the reporter. We do not tolerate false or malicious reports made in bad faith.

9. Appeals

If you believe a moderation action has been applied to your account in error, you may contact us at contact@mythea.com to request a review. Include your username and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect.

We will consider all appeals in good faith, but we are not obligated to reverse enforcement decisions. Decisions on permanent bans are final after review.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the game evolves. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Mythea after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
